Credit Crunch on Commercial Road
Since the Mute issue on Credit, Debt and Crisis was released and the Northern Rock debacle made painfully public, I've been wondering what the liquidity crisis would look like as it unravelled.
Surely eventually, or in fact rather quickly, some basics would become visible in public. So as a first attempt to register an emerging language of debt and everyday life - something I think we can expect to see more and more of as the UK government works out how to foist capital's 'mistakes' onto the population - making 'YOU THE CONSUMER' feel responsible - I'm posting these photographs of posters that have began appear in low-income residential areas in East London (at least that's where I've seen them) early this September Poster photographed on Commercial Road, London.
