two real life stories
I want to share with you two real life stories.Mathai is a public sector employee. A kind hearted man he is.A couple of months back, one early morning while waiting for hisCompany bus at Pipe Line junction, he saw a cow in the middle ofthe road.It was early in the morning and the traffic was not so heavy. But at the sight of container trailers and tanker lorries he was genuinelyworried about the likely fate of the cow.How to rescue that poor thing? That was the only thought on his mind.He tried vainly to attract theattention of the cow. Finally he chalked out a plan.Plucking up somegrass from the road side,he approached it.The cow sniffed the grassand let out her tongue. The next thing he heard was the screech of brakes. Then he saw the angry face of a truck driver“WHAT THE F++K ARE YOU DOING?FEEDING THE COW,IN THEMIDDLE OF THE ROAD?”Poor Mathai. Some passers-by made fun of him too..-----------------Ravi master was a popular figure in our locality.(alas,he is no more). He was a communist(M.L.activists called him a revisionist). One night, while returning home on his bicycle from the party officehe saw a viper in the middle of the road..There was no street lighton that part of the road. Then he noticed a group of persons coming from theother side.”They may be coming from the cinema theatre after the first show. What, if some unfortunate guys step on that deadly snake?”thought the master. So with good intentions he put the cycle on it’s stand and activated the dynamoby rotating the back wheel.“Now that the light from the head light is directly on the viper .the pedestriansare safe”thought the master. When the small crowd got near him,one of themenquired:”Is n’t it a viper? He nodded his head in agreement. They were notin a mood for further querries. They were all in a hurry to get back home. But he over heard a remark from one of them.:”That is his duty tonight.SheddingLight on the snakes”He saw another crowd coming from the distance.”The damn snake is still there, andI happen to be a damn philanthropist” thought the master. So he stood there like a bogey for the next round of ridicule.
