YOU ARE HERE is aimed at networking digital media practitioners based in the East End of London and profiling their work internationally.

Metamute is currently running a project called YOU ARE HERE. Aimed at networking digital media practitioners based in the East End of London and profiling their work internationally,YOU ARE HERE began with a screening and a party in December 2001 and continues through a series of workshops and events. At the centre of the project is an email list and a series of events and workshops, screenings and projects showcases.

The aim of YOU ARE HERE is to provide a platform for New Media workers based in the East End of London, enabling them to promote their projects, set up collaborations and exchange skills and knowledge. The strapline of the project is 'Networking Critical Information Workers'. A clear definition of critical information is open to interpretation, but we are interested in any form of creative practice with a critical angle.

We hope that you will help us shape the nature of this list starting with descriptions of your practice and suggestions for what you would like to get out of this project.
