Shaping Up

Every day computers are making people easier to use.

“Every day computers are making people easier to use,” declaims a banner on the cover of In Formation. The magazine is evidence of the disenchantment with the Internet being felt by many people across the US, its satirical articles flaying the faceless dollar-worshipping culture the digital revolution has brought in its wake. Fake adverts (for Prozac-like drugs and the ‘American Association of Early Retired People’) collide with publicity for the ‘Million Manager March’ and a shareholders report for ‘’. Articles focus on ‘strip malls of Silicon Valley’ and ‘coffee, the corporate drug.’ Very sharp, and bitterly funny.
