This June and July the Mute magazine archive is being moved from its current home in a shipping container a hundred miles north of London to a new smaller space in Berlin. Twenty years of magazine stock – covering fifty-one issues – from Mute’s pilot issue ‘Can Art Survive the Twentieth Century’ back in 1994 to ‘Slave to the Algorithm’ 2013. The archive contains complete sets of the magazine, all fifty-one issues. The move will involve trashing a lot of spare magazine copies – unless they find a home – so we'll be holding a discount sale!

If you're in London come a join us for an #unboxing drink Friday 1st July, 6-9pm, at No Show Space - 39 Temple St E2 6QQ, London. You can also pick up archive copies at the space that evening.

Sales income will go towards cataloguing and maintaining Mute’s online digital magazine archive which has been on the web since 1994 at Metamute. Mute needs to raise £20,000 to review and catalogue its digital archive.

You can follow the journey on social media where we’ll be posting a record of the move and sharing a mega-unboxing of pristine issues that have been locked away in deep storage.

The complete archive sets are normally priced at €1950 and for the move we’ll offer them at a discount of 50% off at €975 with free shipping.

Past contributors are welcome to make offers on a sliding scale :-) and you can get in contact with Simon Worthington directly on simon@metamute.org to work out arrangements.
