Coco Fusco

Coco Fusco is a New York-based interdisciplinary artist and writer. She has performed, lectured, curated and exhibited around the world since 1988. Her performance and video works have been selected for numerous international biennials and festivals and she received a Herb Alpert Award in the Arts in 2003. Fusco is Chair of the Fine Arts Program at Parsons The New School for Design. She is the author of A Field Guide for Female Interrogators (2008), The Bodies That Were Not Ours and Other Writings (2001) and English is Broken Here: Notes on Cultural Fusion in the Americas (1995). She is also the editor of Only Skin Deep: Changing Visions of the American Self (2003) and Corpus Delecti: Performance Art of the Americas (1999).
