By Ben, 23 November 2006

BENEFIT SCREENING - 11pm, SATURDAY 25th NOVEMBER AT THE RIO CINEMA IN DALSTON E8

Late night benefit screening for Lowell 'Spirit' Grant, a black shopkeeper and resident of Broadway Market E8 facing eviction at the hands of th council and property developers.

The management of the Dalston Rio Cinema have kindly arranged a benefit screening of the film '5 1/2 Roofs', with all profits going to the Appeal fund towards Spirit's next rent payments.

A good turnout is essential to ensure that Spirit is able to keep up his payments until the Law Courts sort out his situation once and for all.

Please come and see this great film which features the occupation of Tony's Cafe in Broadway Market earlier this year. You never know, if you were involved in the occupation (or just shopping for ciabatta a lot at the time), you might be in it!
