Some materials from the occupation of Middlesex Polytechnic, 1991.

Colleagues at Middlesex University have, for almost a fortnight, been in occupation of the mansion at Trent Park. We happened to have friends who’d been involved in earlier waves of activity at Middlesex. As a gesture to those intermittently flying red and black atop administration buildings everywhere – and for the sake of our friends, for whom these events were profoundly significant – we offer here parts of an archive on the events of 1991 at Middlesex Polytechnic – when 5 of 8 campuses were entirely occupied for weeks, in the first place because the artists couldn’t get the materials they wanted.

If we can find time we’ll write about these materials. Meanwhile we offer them as they are.
