Memory Mesh

Does memory have a structure? Can it be viewed, curated, opened up for tours with CD-Rom accompaniment? The great film ‘essayist’ Chris Marker thinks so, and has compiled Immemory, a multi-media mesh that links Proust, Hitchcock, Gorky, Godard and scores of other cultural reference points to more personal semes: photos of Icelandic landscapes and Romanian peasants, Japanese cats and disembodied lips. Texts are mainly in French, but the images speak for themselves.
