Learn how to produce a crossmedia documentary in five and a half days
Mediamatic @ IDFA
23 | 24 | 25 | 26 | 27 & 28 November 2007

In this 5-day course you will decide what new media to adopt for your documentary project. You will gain insight in current digital media practices: from user generated content to movies on mobile phones, from locative techniques to the uses of game elements. You will develop a working prototype and be able to analyze how your project interacts with its intended audience. Finding out where potential project money may be in new media will be an important factor in choosing the right project format.

Teachers: The experienced trainers Thalhofer, Jakob Schillinger and Klaas Kuitenbrouwer, the guest lecturers Jamie King and Neil Seiling, and a team of technical assistants.

Cost: 420 euros, including a kick-off seminar, lunch, the use of equipment, and an IDFA festival pass.
Maximum 16 participants. The content of your project should already be decided, the course is intended for picking the right media format.

Location: Mediamatic, Oosterdokskade 5, Amsterdam, with regular visits to the IDFA festival on the nearby Rembrandt square.
