The Great Learning was a piece Cornelius Cardew wrote for performance by
the Scratch Orchestra. I'm not sure whether this recent take is just
silliness or part of the ongoing revision of the collective and
politicised artistic and musical positions pursued by the long dead and
buried (and thus easily plundered) composer - in five years time will
they be performing mash-ups of maoist folk songs???

A collaboration between artist Beatrice Gibson and musician Jamie
McCarthy, The Great Learning is a live performance piece and radio work
in seven parts based on the tradition of calling over in The Knowledge
(the infamous London cabbie navigation system and mnemonic device)
