CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS: Newsletter on techno-political tools

The e-library for and on social transformation (http://www.openelibrary.info) proposes you to participate in a compilation of online material on «Collaborative creation, Free solfware organizational model, Techno-political tools and memory», with the attempt to give an overview on what is under the umbrella of those fields and for favor the circulation of ideas.

Below, it is included a further explanation of the contents proposed for the newsletter and also links to previous newsletters.

ABOUT PROCEDUAL

Language: The newsletter will be multilingual and the materials will be in the languages that are being sent, and without assuring translation tasks, it will be look for translation of the materials.

Information required for each contribution:

You could do two alternative things to make us arrive the resource:

A) Best option!!! To publish the resources thorough the e-library form and send us the link of the resource page. (To do it so go to the http://www.openelibrary.info register and publish it. An example of a resource page is http://www.euromovements.info/e-library/autorsview.php?id_autore=329)

B) Send us an e-mail to info(at)euromovements.info containing these information:

* Title (in original language and in English)
* Author (s) name and e-contact (optional)
* Abstract (maxim 1800 characters, as much language as possible)

* Type of resource (Example: Article reflection, Academc article, activity minutes, e-book, audio recording, map, magazine, thesis, interview etc.)

Licence and sharing policy: The newsletter will be publish under a Creative commons – non commercial - share alike licence, but respecting if you send us resources under its own licence.

The resources sent would be included in an organised compilation newsletter, accesible from the e-library, and spread through the wiki e-yearbook on and for social transformation 2006 (http://www.euromovements.info/yearbook), the Networked Politics wiki (http://www.networked-politics.info) and in general spread abroad several emails lists, webpages and other networks of exchange and conversation.

FURDER PRESENTATION ON THE NEWSLETTER ON TECHNO-POLITICAL TOOLS

In the social practice of the social movements and process of social transformations is emerging techno-political tools. Techno-political tools would referee to a strategy and to a rich variety of experiences; which would have some commonness, such as the aiming of applying the news technologies with political goals; and putting enlighting on the decentralize swarming, the collaborative and open environment and the systematization of the knowledge generated by mobilization processes. and the collective building of the memory.

* How could technologies improve the possibilities for, and the means of achieving, more direct, less mediated, forms of democratic organisation?
* Can we extend the Free Software organizational model towards other fields?
* Is there an automatic correspondan between political networks and technological networks?
* Which would be the key event/moment for allowing a techno-political strategy?
* Is the movement beyond the market on technological innovation?
* How does the model of Internet Global Governance affect the strategy of techno-politics?
* Which are the socio-eco conditions to be able to use techno-political tools?
* What does characterise a techno-political tool?
* Which would be the “classics” in techno-politics and why they would be “classics”?
* Which kind of tools are? (Conceptual tools; networking tools (directories of groups); search tools; visualization tools and maps etc.)
* Do you know experiences of technical tools have being created for transformative political propose?

La bibliothèque en ligne pour et sur la transformation sociale (http://www.openelibrary.info) vous propose de participer à une compilation de documents en ligne sur les thématiques « Création collaborative, Modèles d’organisation des logiciels libres, Mémoire & Outils techno-politiques » ; l’objectif est de donner une vue d'ensemble de ce qui se fait dans ces domaines, dans le but de favoriser la circulation des idées.

Langue :Le bulletin sera multilingue et les documents seront publiés dans les langues utilisées lors de l’envoi. Sans que soit assurée une traduction systématique, nous essaierons dans la mesure du possible de traduire les documents.

Licence: Le bulletin sera publié sous licence « Creative commons – pas d’usage commercial – partage à l’identique des conditions initiales (share alike) » ; votre choix sera néanmoins respecté si vous décidez de publier votre document avec une licence différente.

Les ressources seront ensuite incluses dans un bulletin de compilation structuré, accessible depuis la bibliothèque en ligne et diffusé à travers le wiki d’« e-yearbook » sur et pour la transformation sociale 2006 (www.euromovements.info/yearbook), le wiki de « Networked Politics » (www.networked-politics.info) et plus généralement à travers des listes de diffusion, des sites webs et tout autre support d’échanges et de discussion.

PRESENTATION DETAILLEE DE LA NEWSLETTER SUR LES OUTILS TECHNO-POLITIQUES

Dans la pratique sociale des mouvements sociaux et des processus de transformation sociale ont émergé des outils techno-politiques. Ces outils techno-politiques sont en lien avec une stratégie et une riche variété d'expériences qui ont en commun de vouloir utiliser les nouvelles technologies en vue d’atteindre des buts politiques. Ces outils mettent l’accent sur l’essaimage décentralisé, l'environnement collaboratif et ouvert, la systématisation de la connaissance produite par les processus de mobilisation sociale, et la construction collective de la mémoire.

* Comment les technologies peuvent-elles améliorer les possibilités, plus directes, moins médiatisées, de formes d’organisation démocratique, et développer les moyens de les réaliser?
* Est-il possible de généraliser la forme d’organisation des utilisateurs de logiciels libres à d’autres domaines ?
* Existe-t-il une correspondance automatique entre réseaux politiques et réseaux technologiques ?
* Quel serait le moment-clé, l’événement clé qui enclencherait une stratégie techno-politique ?
* Le mouvement va-t-il plus loin que le marché à propos de l’innovation technologique ?
* Comment le modèle de la Gouvernance Globale de l’Internet affecte la stratégie de la techno-politique ?
* Quelles sont les conditions économiques et sociales qui favorisent les outils techno-politiques ?
