[Mute-tech] [CS dev] CiviCRM End User evaluation

Hi,

Weve been trying out FLOSS web contacts database tool, civiCRM, for the
last couple of weeks or so and below is a link to our end user
evaluation of the tool.

You can read more about the civicspace and civiCRM project here

and the related project

The civiCRM system is a very sophisticated 'Customer Relationship
Management' web based software package made for the voluntary sector.
Its a bit too feature laden for me to go into here.

CiviCRM - Summary feature list

The results so far from our End User evaluation are positive, although
we need to do some further technical evaluation in term of the computer
resources the software system would require to run under a heavy user load.

The civiCRM package is under very fast developement but there are still
areas that need work doing on them. We will start to carry out some of
that work ourselves but we are sending around this email because we'd
like to sysch with the civiCRM's DEV team on the issues involved and
also in the UK voluntary sector see if anyone else wants to contribute
some resources to helping make the package better for all.

These areas that we have identified (in our modest way) are described in
the report doc link above.

Thanks to the CivicRM dev team

Bye

Simon Worthington
