*Total Regeneration* **

European perspectives on the roles, agendas and impacts for cultural
practitioners within collaborative art practice
***
Friday 19 January 2007* **9.30 ? 5.30pm

The Total Regeneration symposium is being held to accompany the Art for
Change exhibition. It draws upon the experience of participatory art
practitioners across Europe in order to make greater cultural sense of
the forces, constraints and possibilities encountered by those working
within the context of regeneration.

This event will explore both definition and instruction: in whose terms
is regeneration being enacted? How does it frame, facilitate or impede
the development of an incisive and forward-looking cultural politics?
Whose agendas are artists following, and how should cultural operators
situate themselves within political directives of this kind? With a
unique combination of speakers and presentations the symposium aims to
provide a platform to reflect on and exchange the pluralities of
cultural response to such issues through a local, national and European
lens. There will be opportunities to contribute and exchange experience
through presentations, roundtable debates and plenary discussion, with
feedback from an external observer. For more information on the
symposium please paste the following link into your browser:
