Locate events in Calendar OpenPublishing |

Hi there. Firstly I would like to say I have only just logged on as a new user. So far I am very impressed with what you have managed to do. I would be keen to do some gash usability testing if that would be useful.

I was looking at the calendar and noted that it was showing an event in Australia, which is fine and very interesting of course. I am sadly very parochial and only want to see events that are happening in London. So I looked at the filter and there doesn't seem to be a way to filter by location.  Looking at the input page there isn't a separate entry facility for address/geo info at all.

Browsing the Drupal site, I see that some people have tried to customise the event module itself http://drupal.org/node/34504 others have used flexinode to modify it.  I can't find a single comprehensive description of what to do.

I am interested in your thoughts about this, whether it is already "on the to do list" etc.

I appreciate your comments on the calendar and we could introduce a
region taxonomy that relates to Mute; London, UK, Europe and on and out.

We found the Drupal calendar not very well facilitated and at present
all we could do was getting it running in the most basic ways.

Soon well be exploring the civiCRM calendar functions and maybe these
functions can help.

Dealing with the calednar and geo location is a project in of itself and
as i mentioned earlier the basic Drupal calendar is not so good

Im at a development meeting in NL this weekend with a group called
Ubiscribe so ill raise these issues.
