Futuresonic, the UK's leading electronic music and
media arts festival, this year celebrates its 10th
anniversary. The three-day festival, which runs 20 -
23 July at venues across Manchester, celebrates the
diversity of electronic music and media arts with
everything from headline gigs at the city's major
music venues to exhibitions, workshops and discussion
forums.

The 2006 theme looks at collaborative cultures and
independence movements in music, art and technology,
and will host the first Social Technologies Summit,
and the Pervasive and Locative Arts Network exhibition
featuring interactive city walks, collaborative
mapping, the urban environment as a digital canvas.
