Unexpected events, twists and turns, clichés, Hollywood special effects and a sense of humour all characterise the film and video works of Christian Jankowski. Absurdity and play are important elements in enabling his quest for truth, and a dialogue with audiences enable him to delve into the boundaries between fiction and reality, examining the relationship between art and commerce, the public and popular culture. This retrospective exhibition includes thirteen major film and video installations and five photographs.
